We use the Generations of Grace Curriculum: A comprehensive curriculum covering the entire scope of God's Word, showing His redemptive plan through history.
Why does The Vine use this curriculum? We love this curriculum because it centers on the person and attributes of God, His saving work in the Gospel, and the glory of Jesus Christ. It covers each book of the bible (Genesis through Revelation) over the span of a three-year period. If your child begins the program in the beginning, they will have walked through Genesis to Revelation three times by the age of eleven. Each lesson keeps the Gospel front and center.
How does this curriculum come alongside you as a family? We have four separate age-based classes, all teaching
the same lesson each week. The older the class, the deeper the lesson.
Each class is given the same
memory verse each week, so that all the children (regardless the age) are memorizing the same verse. This is designed to make memory work easier at home for the parents. Instead of four different verses, there is only one. We have found this helpful for parents who have multiple children in different classes. The children can memorize the same verse together!
The curriculum has a
five-day devotional tied to the Sunday lesson. It is a wonderful way to cultivate family worship, engage your children in what they are learning, and deepen the truths they are being taught. This devotional is provided for each family by the church.
