God's Purpose in Our Weakness (Part III)

Paul gives three more purposes God has in weakness. He wants us dependent on Him, He wants to display His power through us, and He wants us to derive a true strength. This is a passage very much backwards to our natural senses, again showing the backwards way of the kingdom. To seek escape from weakness, is to escape true strength. Paul shows the very place the Christian should want to be is in weakness. For there, we derive a true strength, where God will always sustain us with a sufficient grace.
